Aree (5 years old elephant) has a leg pain on her left back side leg for already a week.
We have used the traditional herbs to treat but she still on pains. We went to get consulted with veterinarian at Chiang Mai University. In addition we invited the doctor to come to our camp, to see what he can do for Aree and help.
The doctor recommended us to get help from the Centre Elephant Hospital in Lampang province, because that will not cost too much and they are elephant experts.
We have contacted them but the Centre Elephant Hospital Lampang is still not able to come to see Aree at this time.
So we back to invited the doctor from Chiang Mai University again. The doctor done preliminary examination for Aree and he said “There is no external wound, it might be food or leg injury related to tendon.” He has done anti-inflammatory injection and precipitation the medicine for Aree as well.
For now, what we can do is just have to wait and keeps our eyes for about 3 days on Aree. If still not get any better, we are going to bring Aree to do an x-ray.
We don’t mind how much do we have to pay for it. We just want Aree back to normal, no pain, eating a lot, can walk around properly and have a cheerful personality as before.?

Update Health Status Aree: 30th of June 2019
Aree already get well and better. Now, she can walk properly. We are still looking after her very close. Hope nothing bad will happen with her again.
